Product development, from first sketch to a live app.

Design, engineering, AI features, app-store launch and growth — one team through all of it, using the same AI-accelerated process that runs our own four apps.

00 In short

What is product development here?

Short answer

Product development at Digital Services is one engagement that takes a product from idea to live: scoping, UI/UX design, native or cross-platform engineering, AI features, app-store launch on iOS, Android and Huawei AppGallery, and the growth work after. It is run by the team — and the AI-accelerated process — behind four apps of our own.

01 Where you're starting from

Start wherever you are.

Most projects arrive at one of four points. The work changes shape depending on which.

01

Just an idea

Scoping turns it into a buildable first version. Most of the value is in what gets cut, so version one ships and starts teaching you something.

02

Designs or a prototype

We pressure-test the flows against real platform conventions, fill in the states nobody drew — empty, loading, error — then build.

03

Partly built

A scoping pass on the existing codebase comes first. Its condition is the biggest variable in how fast we can move, so we look before we promise.

04

Live, but stuck

Fixes, maintenance, store-policy compliance, AI features on top of what's there, and the search and app-store visibility work to grow it.

02 How it runs

Five stages, in order.

Something you can look at after each one. No six-week silence followed by a reveal.

01

Scope

We work out what you're actually building and what it has to do on day one. Most of the value here is in what gets cut.

  • Discovery
  • Journey mapping
  • Scope & estimate
02

Design

Flows, wireframes, then interface. You see the product before anyone writes the expensive part of it.

  • Wireframes
  • UI / UX
  • Prototype
03

Build

Engineering in visible increments, on real devices, against real data. No six-week silence followed by a demo.

  • Mobile
  • Web
  • API / back end
04

Launch

Store submission on iOS, Android and Huawei, listings and assets, review handling, phased release.

  • Store review
  • ASO
  • Release
05

Grow

Search, app-store and answer-engine visibility, plus the maintenance that keeps a shipped product alive.

  • SEO / AEO
  • Analytics
  • Maintenance

03 AI-native

AI in your product, and in how we build it.

Two different things, both specific. Neither is a chatbot bolted onto the side.

In your product

AI features that remove real work

LLM integrations that summarise, classify, extract or draft; in-app assistants grounded in your content; agents and automation; vision features that turn a photo into structured data — each designed around what happens when the model is wrong, slow or unavailable.

In how we build

An AI-accelerated engineering process

AI coding and agent tools help draft, test and refactor every product we ship. Architecture, data handling, review and release stay with engineers. It is the process behind our own apps and every client build.

05 Proof

What our own apps prove.

Every hard problem below is one we've already solved in production, on our own products.

AppWhat it proves we can build
BazarlyMarketplace mechanics, AI vision features and right-to-left Arabic — and it is the product you can license.
Grocery ListOffline-first sync, native home-screen widgets and seven-language localisation.
Executive NotesLocal search indexing, device-level security and cross-device sync with image and audio attachments.
Business IdeasCommunity features — polls and a shared idea marketplace — on a shared back end, plus task and milestone data models.

Need a buy-and-sell marketplace specifically? You may not need to build one at all — license Bazarly under your brand

06 Questions

About product development.

What does product development include?

Everything between an idea and a live, maintained product. Scoping, UI/UX design, native or cross-platform engineering with the back end and APIs behind it, AI features where they earn their place, submission to the App Store, Google Play and Huawei AppGallery, and the maintenance and search visibility work after launch. You can also bring us in at any single stage.

Do you build AI features into apps?

Yes. LLM integrations, in-app assistants, agents and workflow automation, and vision features like Bazarly's photo-to-listing — each designed around what the app does when the model is wrong, slow or unavailable. See AI features & integration.

Should I build a custom app or license a white-label one?

License when a proven model fits; build when your model is new. If you want a local buy-and-sell marketplace, licensing Bazarly skips design, engineering and most of the risk — the product is already live on three app stores. If your idea needs workflows, data or a business model nobody has built yet, custom product development is the right path. We do both, so we have no reason to push you either way.

Which platforms do you publish to?

Apple App Store, Google Play and Huawei AppGallery. All four of our own apps are live on all three, which matters if your audience is in a market where Huawei devices are common and Google services are not.

Can you build a multilingual app?

Yes. Grocery List — Smart ships in seven languages, Entrepreneurs Business Ideas in six, and Bazarly in six including Arabic, which means right-to-left layout as well as translation. Localisation is a design and engineering decision made early, not a translation pass bolted on at the end.

How long does it take to build an app?

It depends on scope, and anyone quoting a number before scoping is guessing. What we can say is what drives the number: how many user roles, whether it needs accounts and sync, whether it works offline, how many third-party integrations, and how many platforms and languages at launch. Scoping produces a range you can plan against.

Do you maintain a product after launch?

Yes. Launch is the middle of the job, not the end. OS versions change, store policies change, and crashes appear on devices you never owned. Ongoing maintenance covers monitoring, fixes, store-policy compliance and version updates.

How do I get in touch?

Use the contact form or email support@digitalservices.me. Tell us what you're trying to build and who it's for — a paragraph is plenty to start. For a marketplace, request a Bazarly demo.

07 Start your product

Tell us what you're building.

A paragraph is enough. We'll come back with questions, then a scope and an estimate range you can plan against.

  • What it is — one or two sentences on the product.
  • Who it's for — the person who'd open it every day.
  • Timing — any date that actually matters, and why.

Goes straight to the team at support@digitalservices.me. We reply by email.
